About Me

Heathen’s Heart is resources and experiences for life as a modern heathen.

I’ve come across so many blogs about everyday life of mainstream Christians but rarely found blogs meant for an everyday heathen and witch like me.

This blog is about heathenry, hearthwitchry, and wild hearts – the everyday life and struggles of family, marriage, mental health, and modern living.

I’m a heathen hearthwitch living in the Midwest. I’ve been a witch and pagan of some variety since looking into Norse paganism in high school.

Heathen

I walked away from heathenry to heal and grow thinking I would never come back. I found my way back because Heathenry is my heritage and what felt right for me. I am train to be a gythia. As I deepen my understanding I hope to take you on the journey with me.

Hearthwitch

My religious practices have always revolved around gardening and cooking. There is something magical in growing things in the ground, or in preparing food with care and love.

Wild Heart

Authentically sharing your heart and feelings is an act of wild bravery. This is especially true in being honest about mental health. I can’t share myself here without being honest about my journey & struggles. Hopefully my struggles can bring others hope.
