Friendship to fill my cup.

The world is overwhelming and exhausting. It has been half a year of quarantining pandemics and disaster after disaster anyone would be exhausted.

With the ever-mounting stress in the world, I took a chance and did something I have only seen in movies and on Instagram. I took a Girl’s Weekend with two women that have become my best friends of the past few years. Two and a half days of good food and fun with wonderful people. What we did was almost inconsequential next to the brave act of taking time from work, family, and other responsibilities to spend on ourselves together.

We spent weeks in unbearable anticipation and the experience lived up to our hope. The companionship and friendship of the two amazing women filled my cup. It felt like the girl’s weekend movie without fantastical events or romances, just peace, and joy.

A Labor Day weekend made of laughter, tears, chocolate, and adventure was just my cup of tea.
